The "straight down the barrel" shot was one of my goals when I went to Percé. There are plenty of flying birds, but where they go is down to luck and wind direction. I stood in the same spot both afternoons, trying to take advantage of the ocean background and the prevailing breeze, and came away with a lot of quarter-angle shots, but this one bird obliged with a landing that was lined up straight at me.
