Thanks to a steady rain, the brilliant colors of this bay-headed tanager stood out even more than normal. San Ramón was on my itinerary for one reason, to see and photograph this bird. The bad weather and winding roads made the trip and the photo session a bit more difficult than normal, but we were rewarded for our persistence with this absolutely gorgeous adult!
