Yellow wildflowers dot the cliffs of Île-aux-Perroquets in the St. Lawrence River, where a lone Atlantic puffin waits on a rock by the shore. In peak breeding season there will be hundreds of these seabirds crowded onto the small island's cliffs, where they have to share space not only with other puffins, but also with common murres, razorbills, guillemots, and herring gulls.
